Some mail files it handles fine:

; 9fs 9front
; ramfs
; bind -ac /tmp /n/lists/sam-fans
; upas/fs -f /n/lists/sam-fans/977195098.00
; upas/nedmail -s /mail/fs/mbox/1

sam-fans@[REDACTED] Confirmed. A simple change to 9libs, taken from the original sam/libXg, makes it poissible to run sam on 24 bpp. Diff sent to Mark, to allow him a chance to 'polish' it before incorporation. Bengt Kleberg1:

Others seem to fail being parsed into pieces by upas/fs:

; bind -ac /tmp /n/lists/inferno
; upas/fs -f /n/lists/inferno/1145652852.00
; upas/nedmail -s /mail/fs/mbox/1
info: []
upas/nedmail: info file invalid /mail/fs/mbox/1 0: 1 fields

the second file is not a valid mbox. mbox starts with “From” line, this is how messages are separated in mbox format. so i dont see a bug here.

You’re right. It appears some of the individual messages copied from gmail ended up without the leading From line.
